Honoring Our Teachers on Teachers' Day: Reflections and Tributes
by Clouie Anne G. Peñaflor
Being a teacher is never easy. Every day, teachers have to endure the noisy students, late submissions, and messy classrooms. Things like reminding us to follow school procedures and teaching us new lessons every day always may seem straightforward, but it never is; being a teacher is a challenging role.
The little things we do, like not following procedures and sleeping through class, can make our teachers’ lives more burdensome. They invest their blood, sweat, and tears to make our lives easier, working hard every day, regardless of how tired they may be. As students, we have the choice to help our teachers or not. I can confidently say that choosing to assist our teachers is the right decision. Listening to their lessons, following their instructions, and submitting assignments or tasks on time can significantly reduce the burdens they carry. Every day, when we go to school, I encourage you to help make your teachers’ lives easier. Show appreciation for their hard work with simple gestures. Keeping your classrooms tidy, minimize noise when talking, and ensure the assignments are submitted on time.
Ultimately, is your choice whether to help your teachers, but I urge you to choose wisely. Our teachers deserve to be valued, cherished, appreciated, and loved. We owe it to them to help them carry some of their burdens for them when they feel overwhelmed.
On Teachers’ Day, we take a moment to reflect on the invaluable role teachers play in our lives. This day serves as an opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for their dedication and hard work. From inspiring us to reach our potential to guiding us through challenges, teachers leave a lasting impact that shapes our future. Let us honor their contributions with heartfelt tributes and acknowledgment.
